Glafia and her fiance Jagg served as border guards in the country of the tigrisians. They were an unstoppable pair until the fateful day Jagg was captured by a sorcerer and transformed into a hulking beast. Realizing she was the only one who could kill him, Glafia moved to confront him alone, despite the protests of her comrades.
