I thought that since I was chosen to become a High Archivist I had to live up to comparative standards, and so I carried on while attempting to prevent the sweat of my brow from staining the pages. I admit that I felt a certain pride in performing such an important task by myself, and it kept me going when I was feeling discouraged. However, one day I came upon a startling realization that caused me to stop still: In all my years of filling the Grand Compendium, it had not widened in the least, and I couldn't help but wonder why.
