Long ago, before Fudo was leader of the giants, he underwent rigorous training to become fit for the role. This meant he was always covered in wounds, so he depended on the services of a doctor to keep him in fighting condition. The doctor was a human but knew how to treat other races. Therefore, when he told Fudo of an oracle's warning that a meteor shower would directly strike the city where he lived, Fudo did not ignore his plea for help.
