"I'm just doing my job. No hard feelings." Macht was a mercenary, hired to take lives with his gauntlet-clad arm. It was lucrative work, yet it gave no relief to his mental fortitude as it withstood the mounting guilt. Perhaps that was why he accepted an uncharacteristic request: protect a royal castle from an unruly mob. However, upon the breakout of conflict, there were far more insurgents than estimated and the defenders were proportionately sparse. Even in the face of the dire situation, he obeyed the terms of the contract and crushed the advancing enemy, armor and all.
