"I wish I'd met someone like the executioner a little sooner," one of the prisoners muttered. In the brief moments before an execution, Apolena attended to the prisoners with kindness. She had made sure to clear away the disgrace and shame within their hearts. After the criminals at last repented for their crimes, they solemly awaited their punishment. Apolena had honed her swordsmanship so that the prisoners would feel even not the slightest of pain when they departed.
