Lore[]
Word of Mandragora spread far and wide as she took an ever greater number of victims. When the time came when the prey stopped coming, she decided to spread her sweet scent and leave her forest home. As she pulled in and consumed more and more with her violently lashing vines, she began only wished she had started the hunt earlier. She would have been so much better fed if she had not simply waited.

Name origin[]
Mandrake is the common name for members of the plant genus Mandragora (Latin), particularly the species Mandragora officinarum. Because mandrake contains deliriant hallucinogenic alkaloids and the roots sometimes contain bifurcations causing them to resemble human figures, their roots have long been used in magic rituals, today also in contemporary pagan traditions such as Wicca and Odinism.
