(Grief-Stricken) Enforcer Edwin

Lore[]

Enforcer Edwin's punishments inflicted pain upon the wicked, to cleanse and mend their guilty hearts. This time, he trembled and sobbed as he embraced his own wife's lifeless body. Her crime was petty, and undeserving of death. But unable to bear torture inflicted by her own beloved husband, she swiftly slit her own throat to escape it. He desperately tried to suppress the feeling of being responsible for her death by convincing himself that surely, this was a divine trial to test his limits...

Name origin[]

Edwin is an English masculine name; the original Anglo-Saxon form is Eadwine. The meaning is "rich friend, friend of riches, blessed friend", it comes from the Old English elements ead "rich, blessed, well, fortune" and wine "friend". This was the name of a 7th-century Northumbrian king, regarded as a saint. After the Norman conquest the name was not popular, but it was eventually revived in the 19th century.
