Driven to despair at the sight of the silently shining statues, she locked herself in the dungeon. However, thieves hoping to seize advantage of her continually attempted abduction.

Midas was the name of several members of the Phrygian royal house. The most famous King Midas is remembered in Greek mythology for his ability to turn everything he touched into pure gold.
