The pirate king's crew attacked and boarded Mary's ship when her captain John and her partner Anne was absent. Despite Mary's superhuman swordmanship, her crew was murdered and their treasure hoard ransacked to the last doubloon. Though wounded and filled with regret, she could not let the pirate king get away with his transgressions. She climbed onto a small rowboat and made for his ship, eyes burning red with determination.
