(Glitter) Olesya, Enchanted Carver

Olesya was an ice sculptor who could grant life to her creations, limited only by her imagination and the prevailing climes. The frigid monsters' genuine ferocity intimidated as much as their transient gleam inspired.

Name originEdit

Olesya, may also be spelt Olessia or Alesya (Russian: ?????, ?????), is a Slavic feminine name of three possible origins. It can be a variant of Slavic name Lesana (Lesya) "forest maiden", derived from the root ??? with the meaning "forest". Also can be a variant of Alexandra "defending men", from Greek a?e?? (alexo) "to defend, help" and a??? (aner) "man" (genitive a?d???). Or else a diminutive form of Slavic Olga, a variant of English, German, and Scandinavian Helga of Old Norse origin; derived from heilagr meaning "holy, blessed; successful, prosperous".
