Alvadd had encountered a human princess on the battlefield. Although they were enemies, she showed him kindness instead of fear. That spark ignited a change within him, and he struggled over the next several days to decide to live as either a demon or human. His choice was made when realized how cowardly and loathsome the ways of his presumed allies were. The only side deserving of his support was that which fostered true understanding and cooperation as seen in the gentle princess.
