Lore[]
When a full Nidhogg grows restless and begins to move about, his scales turn a bright, burning red. The scales then sizzle with blazing heat, burning all vegetation around him and scalding the ground beneath his feet.
Name Origin[]
In Norse mythology, Níðhöggr (Malice Striker, often anglicized to Nidhogg) is a dragon who gnaws at a root of the World Tree, Yggdrasill. In the mythology, the Nidhogg is said to be controlled by only one person, the Norse goddess named Hel.
