(Enlightened) Jirobo, Tempest Tengu

LoreEdit

Razor-sharp winds sliced through the thick vegetation in the mountains, where the crow tengu monks of the spirit world would train ardently to attain the coveted title of Tenma. Despite their status as acolytes, they were ruthlessly territorial, setting upon even frail, lost humans who wandered into their domain. However, Jirobo, who boasted the greatest speed of their clan, differed in his affinity for mankind.

AcquisitionEdit

Added on August 15, 2019 to the Triumphant Return Card Pack.

Name originEdit

Tengu are a type of legendary creature found in Japanese folk religion. Although they take their name from a dog-like Chinese demon (Tiangou), the tengu were originally thought to take the forms of birds of prey, and they are traditionally depicted with both human and avian characteristics.
