During the second-class summoning examination, Velgo mounted the much larger Cat Sith, who flew through the air with astounding speed and ability. The other examinees tried to match pace or hinder their progress with bolts of magic, yet none could overtake the plucky pair. Finishing with the fastest time in the history of the academy, Velgo was praised for the first time. As he relished in his achievement, his partner sat beside him, indifferently munching on its favored snack of bananas.
