Lore[]
The confectioner gave her beloved for more than sweets, but every ounce of her being. Her heart pounded with anticipation and nervousness as she lay concealed within the giant gift box. At first Chogolatta believed he would be surprised and and elated, but then she worried that it contrarily be deterring. It was frightening to image his refusal, and yet the thought of her love remaining unrequited was unbearable. Prepared to make her confession, she could do nothing more but wait.

Name origin[]
Chocolatta is a combination of word chocolate with suffix -ta in feminine names. The word "chocolate" entered the English language from Spanish. Perhaps "chocolate" comes from Nahuatl, the language of the Aztecs, from the word chocolātl, which many sources say derived from xocolātl, combining xococ, "sour" or "bitter", and ātl, "water" or "drink". Other possible derivation from the Yucatec Mayan word chokol meaning "hot", and the Nahuatl "atl" meaning "water".
