Something within Cecial changed. Very few knew of the reason for her transformation, including the being known as the "World Soul". Anything and everything, whether divine or wicked, was morphed into Shadowkind by "it" birthed from the Shadow King. Cecial was another of "its" victims. Gone were all vestiges of the kindly goddess. All that remained was yet another being fighting in the name of darkness.
