Lore[]
Now that she is grown, Cosette reflects on her happiness after meeting Marius. She also thinks back on her adoptive father who saved her from her hellish life and loved her as his own. Marius swore to protect her forever and taught her about romantic love. She is forever indebted to both of them. Thanks to them, the little girl was saved from misery and grew into the happy young woman she is today.
