Lore[]
Sayla obtained powers in the demon realm so that she could destroy the land where she had been born and raised. When she returned to her hometown, she found her motherland in ruins. The demons had learned of her plot and had invaded the land ahead of her. She was enraged that her plans had been foiled. "I'm the one who saves or destroys this land!" She vowed to slaughter the demons without mercy.

Name origin[]
Sayla (Saylah) is a feminine modern invented name, combined from two elements of Sailor (or Saylor, a spelling variation from Old French sailleor, meaning "dancer") and Kayla (or Kaylah, Arabic and Hebrew origin, "laurel, crown") to make an appellation that's uniquely itself though not quite genuine. More authentically, Saylah is a spelling variation of African place-name Zeila (a port town in Somalia).
