Princess Esflonné would sneak from the castle daily to dutifully water and tend to the loveliest tree in the surrounding forest. Though realizing her capriciousness in keeping secret its existence, she imagined none would appreciate its natural beauty and would rather chop it down to fashion into furniture. Irrational as she was, such was her desire to maintain its well-being.
