The Chimera was created by a demon but abandoned as a failure. A kindly king adopted the beast and raised it. However, its devilish instincts eventually awoke and its foster parent was devoured.

Name origin[]
According to Greek mythology, the Chimera (Greek: "she-goat") was a monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature, composed of the parts of more than one animal. It is usually depicted as a lion, with the head of a goat protruding from its back, and a tail that might end with a snake's head.
