(Blood) Kimesa, Red-Dyed Blackbird

Lore[]

Kimesa had once killed a man she loved. It wasn't too difficult for her to reach the 1000 kills she needed to achieve her goal of immortality. She stood atop the pile of cold corpses, lost in thought. Of the 1000 lovers, there had only been one she had truly loved. Had she really needed to kill him in order to become immortal? Kimesa had wept long and hard after killing him. She no longer wept, but instead wore an expression of great sorrow.

Name origin[]

A raven is one of several larger-bodied members of the genus Corvus. They have black plumage and large beaks. There are many references to ravens in legends and literature, mostly in Greek, Celtic, Norse, Pacific Northwest, and Roman mythology. Because of its black plumage, croaking call, and diet of carrion, the raven has long been considered a bird of ill omen and of interest to creators of myths and legends. As a carrion bird, ravens became associated with the dead and with lost souls.
