Visitors gasped when Caldina opened the doors to her mansion, adorned in mage's garb and encircled by the souls of the dead. Out of ghoulish curiosity they entered into the building, only to let out high-pitched screams in terror once they caught sight of her. Still, it was the first step in teaching people of the true manner of ghosts. They may still have been frightened, but Caldina held faith that one day they would learn.

Caldina is a name of Toyota car (Japanese カルディナ Karudina), inspired by the Italian (and English) adjective "cardinal", meaning "essential" or "fundamental". There is a female character Caldina in the Magic Knight Rayearth manga and anime; she is a dancer and an assassin, in addition she is also an accomplished illusionist and hypnotist.
