(A) Vile Queen Guinevere

Lore[]

For the one she cherished, Guinevere would commit even the most heinous of misdeeds, such as banishing to the dark those who opposed the great King Arthur. She would support him from the shadows by any means necessary, whether that be her powerful magic or irresistible, enthralling figure. Those who observed her from the outside may have perceived Guinevere as mad with lust for power, but, in truth, it was love alone that drove her.

Name origin[]

Guinevere was the legendary Queen consort of King Arthur. In tales and folklore, she was said to have had a love affair with Arthur's chief knight Sir Lancelot. Guinevere and Lancelot's betrayal of Arthur was often considered as having led to the downfall of the kingdom. The Welsh form Gwenhwyfar, which seems to be cognate with the Irish name Findabair, can be translated as "The White Enchantress" or "The White Fay/Ghost".
